Airports
Tri-Lakes is within an hour’s drive of two international airports – Denver International Airport (DIA) and Colorado Springs International Airport (COS). All the major U.S. and international carriers serve one or both airports. At DIA, 23 commercial carriers provide nonstop service to nearly 200 domestic and international destinations. Specifically, DIA offers nonstop service to 26 international locations including destinations in Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Iceland, Mexico and Costa Rica. DIA’s cargo capabilities are equally impressive. Nine cargo airlines and 14 major and national airlines provide cargo services at DIA. The airport’s total cargo operations currently exceed approximately 235,611 metric tons per year. The airport’s air cargo and mail facilities comprise 375,000 square feet in five buildings south of the airfield, with room to expand.
